★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The wait to get food served was a bit long but the staffs were friendly and helpful. The seaweed salad was a bit strange but the bun was nice and the ramen was very good (especially the texture of the noodles - the tantanmen and vegetarian broth are both very flavorful as well). It is a bit expensive but worth the price.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Honestly, after trying several places I believe Afuri is one of the best Ramen places in Portugal. The TONKOTSU SHIO is almost perfection.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I got a chicken karaage and 2 Tsukemen. It was amazing! But I asked for extra cold noodles and they brought hot noodles ? Also one of them didn’t say anything at all, just brought the bills and left in front of me and brought the card machine and charged(didn’t speak at all?) but the taste was really nice

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Afuri Ramen: Bento Box for the Score!
After 49 years of marriage, I’m finally learning to listen when Sarah says she wants to try a restaurant we’ve passed many times before. And try it right now. Typically, when we’ve strolled down this Chiado street, our focus is on the Teatro Nacional São Carlos opera house. But yesterday afternoon, we were officially scouting some new dining possibilities—as if we weren’t always doing that—and Afuri was the first one we passed. Sarah lingered, gazing at the menu posted outside, and when I suggested we move on, she tempted me with two words: “Bento Box!” Should we keep walking and then come back? Não! Or did she say “now?” At any rate, we decided to dine inside, where we noticed that the few other diners looked to be local business or artistic types. The menu featured their signature ramen and included enticing sushi and nigiri, but we were single minded in our pursuit of the bento box, and we couldn’t have been more delighted. The luncheon opened with probably the best miso soup we’ve eaten, graced with tofu and slim mushrooms that leaned toward a hint of sweetness, along with wavy tresses of seaweed that nearly melted in your mouth. We learned that the miso is seasoned with yuzu, a unique fruit that is reminiscent of lime, lemon, and grapefruit, with a touch of sweetness. (Sarah’s lemonade included yuzu and was also quite unique and refreshing.) The protagonist bento box included just the right combination of sushi and nigiri (generous slices of flavorful salmon and tuna); perfectly pan-fried gyoza with thin, crispy wrappers and finely chopped stuffing; a cleansing counterpoint of kaiso salad with wakame seaweed and microgreens; an accompaniment of lovely sticky rice; and a pair of deep chocolate truffles breaded in toasted black sesame seeds. Can you say perfection?! The bento box was just the right amount for a midday almoço; yhe vibe was comfortable with a hint of sophistication; the staff was excellent and responsive; the location priceless in the heart of Chiado by the opera house; and the price was in the sweet spot of reasonable. So, when can we return to try the famous ramen . . . ? Highly recommended!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was the Japanese I needed today - spicy tuna roll was absolutely fantastic. Seaweed salad was fresh and light, and those handmade noodles... omg... just like home cooking if your home came with a master chef

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had Yuzu shoyu, pork based ramen, matcha tiramisu. Noodle was really good, looks like it was made by them not a store bought. Although the chashu could have been 2 peices rather than 1 since many other ramen restaurants in lisbon place 2-3. Matcha tiramisu was not too sweet, I really enjoyed but it could have been more authentic with a bit stronger matcha flavor. Try their beer, its really good.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The noodle texture was nice, and the pork in the ramen excellent. However, the broth could have had deeper flavours, and my favourite dish was the seaweed starter which should not be the case for a ramen establishment from Japan.
