★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A decent “basic” Camino stay by donation and very nice hosts. Just be aware that the very small cafe and very small market is very limited. You can get enough to make a meal here but you won’t have many choices. I ended up walking to town about 20 minutes each way. Dinner was not provided though I understand sometime it is. Breakfast is 4 euros and also is basic. Also be aware that the town has some very nice stays. WiFi is available in the common room it does not reach to the bedrooms. . Kitchen has a stove fridge and microwave and is equipped with pots plates and utensils. Bathroom had plenty of hot water and has clothes washing area.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful old building, spacious, excellent facilities, helpful and friendly staff. Plenty of showers and clothes washing, no queuing. Amazing value. The supermarket is a bit of a walk but there is a tiny shop nearby. There is water and comfy sofas outside in case you arrive before opening time. Highly recommended first stop after Porto.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wow!!! This place is beautiful!!! The building and the surrounding areas are amazing. This place is worth the stop. I spent the extra money 10€ to get a private room with a bed, way up on the top floor. The view is amazing. Bathrooms are big, plenty of sinks, showers, toilets. No waiting.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ it was magical, huge white building. the Host was uper nice and friendly. I got there after there was no place at the other albergue and i was super glad to get a bed. It was nothing fancy, but i still enjoyed it a lot! they have around 70 beds, and it is based on the donation. would love to come back there just to stay longer at the magical place. not so much to do in the village- tiny grocery store and one restaurant.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Historical Monastery, it worth for the eritage and the friendly environment. It was my first stop in Camiño Português, from Porto to Santiago. I had a great reception and a nice conversation about camino while doing my "check in" .
You may have the opportunity to enjoy a communitarian dinner while meeting other pilgrims.
The Monastery has different rooms that you may enjoy after your hike day, including massage room that you may need to book in advance. It has kitchen if you would like to cook and a very small market at 200m distance. At a 350m distance a restaurant & cafe where D. Rosario will prepare you a hot meal at any time if open.
The Monastery works by donation from the pilgrims.
Please be aware that hygiene and conditions to do your laundry may be lacking a bit. No laundry machine available and the laundry tank is placed at men's bathroom.
Overall, it worth getting the experience of staying here at least once.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Such a beautiful place, where you can find peacefulness to rest and joyful people to have a laugh with. It happened that we arrived on the very day of the anniversary of the foundation, and the celebration was an unforgettable experience!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing building with 1.5 m. thick granite walls. The manager, Fernando, served us, tired and thirsty pilgrims, free beer. In the morning, he prepared and served us breakfast.
