First course of scallops was underwhelming
Main course of bream was satisfactory but we had difficulty cutting the al dente vegetables (which were excellent) with the fish knives.
The red house wine was very good but beware of large amount of sediment (should have been decanted). Service was generally good but rather pretentious.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great food, very welcoming staff and owners. We had a selection of fish dishes; scallops and octopus salad for starters, and John Dory, octopus and swordfish as main course. All superbly cooked and beautifully presented on the plate.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had an absolutely blissful time dining here. Delicious food, fantastic wine and a service like no other (even in Portugal terms).
First we had chouriço flambéd in medronho (local distilled alcohol). Then clams & shrimp linguine and shrimp caril for my husband- all delicious. I really appreciated how they bring all dessert choices for you to actually visualise. We had a delicious crème-brûlée flambéd in front of us.
To accompany dinner we had Vineadouro Rabigato 2019. It paired fantastically with our main dishes.
The high point of dinner were the courtesy gestures. First was serving port wine in a huge bowl-glass. Then flambé’ing a fig dessert candy and a final accord - serving very cold medronho in a frozen clay shots.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing food and wine. We had perfect scallops, octopus with sweet potato and just the best tuna I have ever eaten.
Super, unpretentious and friendly service.
We let them pick the wine, said what we wanted to spend and what we liked and got a super Douro red.
We will be back
