★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is possibly the best restaurant in Porto right now. The food and wines were absolutely amazing, the service as well as the entire concept were a great experience. This evening exceeded our expectations. If you like good food and wine this place is mandatory when visiting Porto. We came at 8 pm and got the table at the front window which is clearly the best spot. Our bill was about 180 euros for two 8-course tasting menus including full wine pairing (which was amazing but also plenty of wine, so leave your car at home) plus a few extra drinks, very modest for what this place offers.

We had an outstanding evening at Altrevo! The food was creative and innovative yet the place and atmosphere is really low-key and cozy. We went for the 8 dish-menue with the wine pairing. I would totally recommend to go for the whole menue as the chef is creating a hell of a composition here. she pays a lot of attention to detail and storytelling is amazing. service is very nice too, you get a short introduction to every dish and the region and grape of the wine. Never experienced a better and real wine pairing. We went there two weeks ago, and I have to think about this evening every day. I still dream about the mushrooms with miso-yolk and the fish tartar.
We paid around 120€ for two people, we had the full menue and a great variety of wines.
Do yourself a favor and go there!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a really lovely tasting menu. The wine was amazing! One of the best we've ever tried. Food was very creative and super tasty. Perhaps best of all, the service was so friendly and helpful. They even gave us some bubbles for our wedding anniversary.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Exceptional tasting menu. Place feels understated but the staff is attentive and warm. Some of the dishes would not have been out of place in Michelin star restaurants (some of them more complex, e.g. red mullet - I think -, in a buttery sauce, with a few breadcrumbs to give some crunchiness, and pickled mushrooms bringing a touch of acidity cutting through the richness of the broth; while others just let the produce shine, e.g. portobello mushroom in chicken broth) and the overall balance of the menu was excellent. Thanks for a fantastic meal, hopefully we will be back.

The dining experience at Atrevo made my 1 night in Porto very special. Highly recommended!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An outstanding restaurant. We had the 8 course tasting menu that went as follows;
1 : Clams in a Pesto Sauce.
2 : Clams in a Coriander Sauce, served on a Brioche.
3 : Sea Bass, wrapped in a Leek, served in a Garlic Reduction.
4 : Calamari, served in a Orange & Herb Sauce.
5 : Cod Fillet, served with a Parsley Mash.
6 : Guinea Fowl, served with a mini Baked Potato & Greens.
7 : Two (Vanilla & Strawberry) Ice Creams with Winter Berries
8 : 'Christmas On A Plate' : Chestnuts with Nutmeg, Cinnamon & Crumble.
The pesto sauce in 1 was the best I've had anywhere in the world; it was just divine.
The calamari & guinea fowl in 4 & 6 were beautifully cooked.
The last dessert was a lovely way to end the meal; very nicely presented, and tasted even better.
Overall, there wasn't a single bad course during the entire evening, the service was exemplary, and the ambiance was superb. All in all, it's an easy 5 out of 5.
