Very nice view over the harbour, the steaks were ok but the cataplana was overcooked Spaghetti and clams in a mediocre sauce, billed as a „specialty“ for 25 euros- way overpriced for the poor quality! The wine by the glass was also mediocre. Overall a disappointment.

Don't get to Ferragudo very often and haven't been here for years. But I can tell you I'll be back for nothing else, if not the Borda do Cais restaurant. An absolute gem!! ????? Food, service and view... 5 stars!!!

Authentic, amazingly friendly staff, accommodated to the children. Flexible as we order everything in the wrong order ( first main, then starters, then children’s menu) really impressed with the place, service and the food; impeccable. We had the vongole/ clams. Then Seabass . Recommended wine was amazing. View like a movie. Our Kids were terror but the menu and wine plus the dessert(Porto with the lemon cheesecake): never had better.

Food is pretty good and clam is fresh. However, be cautioned that if you order fish that it weighs / in line with what you expected. We ordered Dory fish and they claimed to be 1.6kg (max Dory fish is 2kg) and we paid close to 100EUR for one fish.

Food was great but the service could’ve been a bit more friendlier. My wife and I were there with our toddler for dinner and felt discomforted with prying eyes from all directions throughout our time. We felt uncomfortable with the constant glance towards us.

Waiter friendly and excellent food on the side of the river with a super sunset view! We'll be back! Surely recommended the Carabineiros and Amêijoas

Nice restaurant, we ordered the intruso, which is a combination of half a tiger prawn and tenderloin. It was good, but not too special (not so much flavours/taste in my opinion). I did like how they do the final preparations/serve the dishes in front of your table. For dessert we had the torta de alfarroba and delicia Algarvia. I enjoyed the delicia Algarvia more as it was a combination of carob, almond and figs. The torta de alfarroba is made with pure carob. The waiters were kind and attentive.

This place is 100% recommended. It is not fancy, and it doesn’t have to. The food speaks for itself, very tasty and well prepared. You need a reservation because it is popular. However, if you go after 9:30pm, you can wait for a table (and usually get it). We ordered the garlic shrimp (delicious), the clams, and a Seabass which was to die for.
