★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Got bitterly tasting, diluted coffee instead of double espresso and a barely warm espresso decaf; the bottle water was good ;-)…
The staff would also win no “friendliness prizes”.
There should be much better alternatives in the town.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The service is bad and slow and prices overrated. The guy charged us extra 4€ just for bringing the coffee (two coffees and a juice) to the table. Outrageous. I Do not recommend at all.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good cafe in the centre of the castle at Silves. Plenty of shaded seating and a few of those big fans with the mist spray so a welcome stop on a very hot day. The cafe serves all the usual food and drink you would expect a Portuguese cafe to serve. Staff were friendly and polite.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A great fancy Restaurant in a one of a kind petite Castle. Great and friendly Service. Very nice owner and staff who took time to adapt to our needs and enrich our experience. Must try the special drinks, we had the cucumber water and the home made orange blossom iced tea (one of a kind).
The Muxama is a 2000 year old recepie which instantly turned to our favorite. It consists of smoked tuna slices, coriander foam and almonds seasoned with rosemary olive oil and oregano. It really is a must try.
