★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The staff make this place. Really warm and inviting and very helpful from the outset. The room was good and very comfortable and the location is fairly good for Lisbon. Breakfast is nice and relaxed and no issue for vegetarians. Would definitely stay here again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Casa Amora is an intimate welcoming to Lisbon. They are incredibly hands on and the entire experience from entering into their garden to the moment before you check out is personal and welcoming. I am so grateful for the kindness Juan showed me from the moment I arrived (he did my laundry as nothing was open on the Sunday I need it) he told me all his favorite spots and the hotel even provides a phone packed full of tips and maps and phone credit in case you are traveling from afar and don't have roaming. The entire experience felt like home and I would absolutely come again. Breakfasts were top notch and I slept like a baby in the studio room. Thank you again, you have truly created a unique way to dive into Lisbon. All the best. Beau

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Unforgettable experience!
The level of hospitality at Casa Amora is beyond exceptional. We stayed here for five nights, and I cannot say a single negative thing about our experience.
Charming space, with beautiful interior decor, and the cutest common kitchen/dinning area.
Thanks to Juan’s warmth, Nita’s delicious cooking, and Vladimir’s attention to detail, Casa Amora was truly our home away from home! Highly recommend if you are looking for a unique stay and love to surround yourself by a genuine and caring team.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I ended up cancelling my reservation. I booked a suite for 4 nights which had a large bed and a couch for our son. Under the Expedia booking it said 2 adults and 1 child, child considered under 17 included. My son is 9 years old. I received an obnoxious email from Paulo who said he was doing me a favor by upgrading me to a larger room and I would have to pay 40 euro per night extra, then he changed it to 80 euros. He said if I wasn't happy with that to cancel my reservation so I did. I was looking forward to staying there due to all the amazing reviews, but was offended by his attitude and customer service.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A perfect start to our Portugal trip! We’ve stayed with Luís and João for 3 nights and wish we could have stayed longer. The hosts are so welcoming and friendly and made us feel at home. Luís provided us with all the best food tips in town to make our foodie hearts fulfilled and the breakfast was really one of the best breakfasts we’ve ever had in any hotel or guesthouse, with fresh bread, an assortment of REAL cheese (not the tasteless hotel-type cheese you usually get), jam, fresh pressed juice, scrambled eggs and a freshly baked cake each morning. The rooms are super clean and each room has a stylish interior. From the hotel it’s a super nice walk downtown and there’s lots of nice restaurants and sightings at walking distance. We hope to be back here some time! Thanks again Luís and João!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We booked a duplex studio (no 10) as this property was previously listed in White Lines/Aficionados (not at the time of booking) and we’re usually happy with their recommendations
PROs:
- The host (Paulo) is the real asset, you can tell he’s passionate about his job and Lisbon. Always available, he always answered our texts within minutes
- No noise coming from the street (although you could hear the adjacent neighbours walking and using the shower, but nothing major)
CONs
- the studio had a very strong musty smell. Not sure if it’s the old furniture or the dampness due to the fact that one side is basically under street level.
Also, bad smell coming from the toilets
- the en-suite bathroom has a curtain (not a door), so little privacy, mainly in terms of noise

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The staff here all work hard to create a lovely place to retreat to while in the busy city of Lisbon.
The breakfast is one of the most wonderful in all of Europe I’ve ever had. The 2nd morning I was there I was up early and watched her make the fresh juice from scratch, and saw her go get fresh herbs from the garden. You can stay and enjoy at long as you want. They have lovely wine and all types of books to read.
The rooms are clean and eclectic. An inviting place for solo travellers, couples or families.
