F	Florian Schmidt on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This hostel gets just 1 star because of the really bad service at the reception. We booked a night for 2 people (m+f) in a men's room, cause we booked really late in the evening for the same day and there were no other people in the room+we really needed a place to stay, our tent was broken. So the chance, that a man will book a bed there and will be offended by a woman in his room (the men's room was the only one available) is really really low. The receptionist (an elderly woman of colour) didn't have our names in the list and was really annoyed by getting interrupted watching YouTube or something. We asked if it's possible to stay in the room as m and f cause there was no other booking and it was already 9 but she was really unfriendly, not interested in a solution fine for all (maybe a recommendation for another hostel near or something would be fine) and kicked us out "you can leave now" after I said that she could be a bit friendly. We called the hostel 1 week ago as well for a free place but she was just like "no there's nothing, bye" click so this doesn't look like it was an incidence. The hostel has good reviews, so it might be nice, but wenn the staff behaves like that woman it's an absolutely no go and not worth a single cent. 1 star.
n	nausea on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very good and central location, with both up- and downsides. + Looks good, staff is friendly (even did some laundry for us). +Cozy atmosphere +Nice and big kitchen with an outdoor area. - With only a fan, it got pretty hot at times. - Emergency exit sign just above the door, infront of the bed. Had to cover it with a shirt to get the room all dark. -Party street just outside, so bring your earplugs. Unfortunately there was a sad ending to all of this. I forgot my new electric toothbrush in there bathroom there. We contacted them twice about it, but they didn't find it I suppose. They also said they would call back, but that did not happen. Thing is, I left it right on the bathroom sink. Whomever cleaned our room after us, couldn't possibly have missed it. So sadly they have atleast one thief working there. I wonder what else she or he is capable of stealing. Due to this I cannot recommend this place. If the brush turns up, I might see things differently.
C	Christine West on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic Hostel. Loved our stay in Casa Dos Arcos. Gisela, Tatiana and Tomas were such great hosts. They made our stay even better. The rooms were huge and very comfortable. The breakfast was brilliant and the Casa was like staying in a palace back in history. The garden was my favourite, perfect place to have breakfast. Thanks for a great stay guys ?

Great location, very nearby the beach, city center, supermarket, night life. Tatiana, Gisela and all staff are super kind and nice. Breakfast is great too, and we make great fresh orange juice with the machine.

B	Benoni Rivera on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I loved it, since the beginning we had a warm welcome, the room was flawless, big and spacious very clean and the common places such as dining room and terrace are gorgeous, the whole place had an antique decoration and wooden furniture that gives it a special something, besides the staff was so sweet and even let us check in before. I totally recommend it as it is very close to everything even the beach and of course, stores, bars, a lot of life. 10/10
B	Björn A on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stayed at the guesthouse for four nights. The stay was okay but did not quite meet our expectations (having in mind the price level). The house itself is historic and charming, the kitchen and outside terrace lovely and the bathroom renovated. However, there were some things we did not like. The first and subsequent impressions with Maria, one of the staff, was not very welcoming and helpful. We had problems with our key (did not fit the door) and the wifi (no signal in the room) and she was only helping in an annoyed manner. The room had no a/c and its very loud outside but we had to sleep with open doors. Anyway we would not recommend the stay and therefore go for a place where the value-for-money ratio is more convincing.
