Food like at grandma's house. Very good indeed and the lady Elvira super simpatica, good disposition.adorei and whenever you want a good place to eat and show the good Portuguese food, will be the site of election. E tive a grata surpresa de ver que 42 anos passados meus ADN's voltaram a mesma casa (enquanto universitário) incorporados na minha filha agora também universitária! Very good place for college students to rent rooms near the University. And I was pleasantly surprised to see that 42 years later my DNA's came back to the same house (as a college student) incorporated in my now college daughter!

It is the best restaurant that I and my wife have eaten in Portugal in the last two years living here. All the service is impeccable, the dishes delicious. Everything you could want when you leave home to eat. It's more than a restaurant, it's a place that takes you back home in your childhood, with love and affection in all Elvira dishes !!! More than recommended.

Éramos duas pessoas para o almoço, mas nas entradas só nos puseram uma fatia de pão. Pedimos o prato do dia, que era bacalhau à Brás. Depois da primeira garfada encontrámos um cabelo e casca de ovo. O tomate que vinha como acompanhamento estava azedo. Chamei o chefe, que tentou minimizar a situação, como se a casca de ovo e o cabelo fosse algo normal. Para compensar, trouxe o outro prato do dia, que era carne. Mas não tínhamos direito ao acompanhamento. O creme de favas foi a única parte da refeição que nos deixou satisfeitos. Small space, family atmosphere. I did not like the service and would not go back to lunch there. I want to believe that it was an exception to the rule. We were two people for lunch, but at the starters they only put one slice of bread. We ordered the dish of the day, which was Brás cod. After the first bite we found a hair and eggshell. The tomato that came with it was sour. I called the chief, who tried to minimize the situation, as if the eggshell and hair were something normal. To compensate, I brought the other dish of the day, which was meat. But we were not entitled to follow-up. The broad bean cream was the only part of the meal that left us satisfied.
