★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Saw this hotel featured in CN Traveller. Was staying in a villa close by so thought would be great to check out for lunch and also see potential for future stays in Lagos or to recommend to friends. We walked in to ask if they would have a table available and the front staff said “No” even though the restaurant was empty. Not very polite but we understand that maybe the hotel has a no outside guest policy which was not communicated. My wife then kindly asked if she could use the toilet and staff answered by asking if we are guests at the hotel. Awkward for such attitude from front house staff of a supposedly 5 star hotel. Overall, my review is of this interaction with the front house staff but it communicated a lot to me that things aren’t as polished here as they market themselves to be. It’s sad that this type of attitude from the staff would make me feel this way and not welcome at all. The reality is even if I’m not a customer now, I may be a customer in the future. We stay and visit luxury 5 star hotels all around the world whether boutique or larger hotels and this was by far one of the most awkward interactions at a hospitality venue. Based of this experience I would not recommend staying here as why take a chance ruining your holiday with such attitude from the staff.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Everything about Casa Mae was amazing! From the second we walked through the doors to check in, we felt welcomed like family. We stayed in the Pergola Suite and I easily could have spent a week never leaving our gorgeous room. Fortunately, the pool is even more stunning and lured us out every day. Getting from the resort to restaurants in Lagos was very easy and the concierge gave us great ideas and helped us make reservations. We will definitely come back to Casa Mae!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful design but the service is insufficient for a 5-star hotel, even for a 4-star hotel. There were so many occasions in which we were confronted with problem-oriented staff and lacking service-orientation that we were getting frustrated and moved to another 5-star hotel next town. This place has potential but currently it just does not justify the price, unfortunately.

The food here is amazing! The breakfast buffet is delicious and fresh, made with ingredients from the hotel garden.
The hotel is modern and beautiful, the breakfast was amazing, but what truly made my stay special was the attention of the staff. Thank you for everything!

The staff was lovely and extremely professional, they can sort out all kind of activities for you to do in Lagos. Casa Mãe it's a place like no other in Lagos and I would definitely book them again next time we are in Lagos.
It was also my wife's 30th and they surprised us with a champagne they left in our room when we were away, plus every member of the staff personally said "happy birthday" to her which we believed was really nice.
They have a few crops in the hotel's nearby garden and most of the food served was from there which is great! They also mentioned in our first day they don't want to waste food and they advised what we should order in order to reduce waste. Loved the idea and we took the advice.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We loved our dinner. Modern designs and architecture created a beautiful location. Service was excellent — thank you to the team. Food was excellent with interesting flavors with a modern twist. TIP: Parking is extremely tight. If your only coming for dinner — park in a better location and enjoy the walk through the old town streets.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Perfect place for holidaying, very friendly staff and delicious food. I love the design. It’s a hidden oasis in Lagos, just a short walk to nice coffee spots and restaurants. Beach hopping highly recommended. Looking very much forward to our next stay.
