Great snack and Porto wine on a bench at the shadow provided by the castle walls!

Absolutely useless. Haven't seen anything so overpriced. 2warmish pieces of bread and a glass of porto that doesn't match the codfish cakes at all cost 20euros. That's because they don't tell you that you are buying the glass. And a bunch of trash that is just plain pollution. Close this place down right now.

The thing is, the actual Bacalhau is tasty which is a good thing - but you soon realise when you travel around Lisbon that this is a real chain restaurant that pops up anywhere close to most tourist attractions and charges double the price of any small authentic restaurant for the same thing.

A really Nice and cozy place, trully love it! The bacalao pastery was really good and kinda salty but tasty, something really different. I advice to just Buy the bacalao cake but bot the wine, the "combo" rises the price a lot but it was good to try!

We already tried this Pastel de Bacalhau last year, in 2020. Definitely not cheap, I mean 1 piece is 5 euro, but worth it. This year, 2021, we went back and this time we asked for a Portuguese experience. Bacalhau and Port wine. It was worth again.

Definitely something you have to try when you visit Portugal. I’m not a huge fan of the cheese in the middle, HOWEVER- it was so good! It has the perfection ratio of fish to potatoes. Great experience.

It was nice to have a glass of port wine with my boyfriend after visiting the castle. However, we definitely fell into a tourist trap by getting the €12.50 Portugal Experience sets. It came with one fish cake and a glass of port wine, you can keep the glass but I would say it’s worth the price. Overall, the cod fish cake was a bit fishy and dry in the centre, I wouldn’t say it’s delicious. Pretty much a McDonald’s fish o fillet standard. I’m not sure why some people would get a box of 12.
