J	Joao Moreira on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Possibly the best Hospital in Portugal. It is starting to reflect its age in its slightly outdated facilities. Due to the huge number of patients that it has to serve it is in dire need of an expansio/upgrade.
c	caue rego on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ make no mistake. the main downside is it's actually so good that everyone comes here and so there's a huge line for non critical emergencies. not everyone is able to help with proper information too, but the doctors are exceptional, from my brief experience with 2 of them. almost 12 hours after checkin.

J	Jiří Štoček on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Visit to the emergency room on Sunday afternoon. Thanks to coronavir, entry is restricted and pre-entry controls are performed. The staff is nice and helpful. Great respect for their commitment in these difficult times. The interiors look like horror. Everything is clean and tidy. Think about how difficult it is for all employees and have patience and understanding.
R	Rene Johnson on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Unexpected visit last week, flat on my back, crying with pain. Absolutely kind and caring service from the doctors, nurses, paramedics, orderlies. Thorough exams and tests. The areas I saw were clean and sanitary. The hospital has a huge catchment area so it was hectic busy, yet the staff kept smiling and in good humour. Coming from Africa and having firsthand experience in their public hospitals, I can only say the negative ratings must come from those who don't know how lucky they are here.

You're a number, just a number; vis a vis your green ID card. 2. You wait, seemingly forever, for someone to speak to you. 3. You take what they give you, then you leave. Don't dare question the doctor. Particularly Dr. Maria Manuel from Dermatology. Who couldn't, nay, wouldn't offer anything pertaining to my mother's tumors. It's not her department. Her words. My 87 year old mother spent 15 hours last week in the ER; they performed tests and made her wait. Didn't offer her a glass of water or anything to eat. They then called my 87 year old father to pick her up at midnight! I'm here now from the states and I am appalled with how they treat the elderly. No information, no communication, nothing. Just take your papers and leave. Citizens of the U.S., is this what we want for our mothers, fathers, family?
