★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Chico was a fantastic host! We had a lovely dinner for a very reasonable price. The fireman's sausage was amazing. We couldn't have asked for a better meal. Leave the tourist trap and go eat with Chico. You won't be disappointed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food was really tasty and not expensive for the quality and service that they offer! Staff is really kind and generous. We came a bit late at night and they kept the restaurant open for us. I'd come again for sure. I ordered the Lubina and it was meaty and tasty. Average price of 20e per person.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Consistently a good place to eat. Carlos knows his wines and will choose you a decent one dependant on your tastes. We had the monkfish rice which we have eaten before. Nicely cooked, fish was good. If being super critical would like a bit more flavour in the soup/sauce. This is a sharing dish. Our friend had a seafood pasta which was good. I have read that people are disappointed because they charge for butter on its own. We spoke to Carlos and hd explained that they had to do this under Portuguese law. If you ask for the "cover" then they can't re-use if you choose not eat it as in the hot weather it will be ruined. We were treated to some Grappa/Ouzo styled fire water at the end.....blew our mouths, but very enjoyable. We will visit again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ You probaly pay 15€ per Meal. I would say it’s a typical Tourist-Trap. The service is very bad because the waiter doesnt ask if you want to drink something. You get bread with little tiny package of butter like in a bad Breakfast Buffet. The food is the same like the aquarium.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Visited in October 2021, end of the season so the area was quiet, however the owner couldnt be more helpful if he tried, really brilliant, also aksed us if we wanted to use the closed pool area the day after, which he opened up to us for free and as he arrived to clean up the area as he did every day, he even opened the bar early for us, would 100% recommend, Chico you are amazing

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was the first time that me and my family visted these parts of the Algarve, as it was father's day we decided to try Chico's restaurant and we are delighted that we did. From the moment we entered we were greeted and received as if we were entering a family home for dinner, Chico has some amazing stories to tell from his amazing past, he was very sociable and kind, his staff were very kind and helpful and i was even introduced to the kitchen staff who also received me in such a kind way, the whole experience was amazing, i would recommend visiting Chico's as apart from the staff and host the food was amazing and his kind helpings of home made wine was very nice, thanks Chico and staff we will certainly come back again very soon.
