As we are staying here at the moment I am very impressed with our room it's quite big and clean one of the nicest we have stayed in Portugal staff are very friendly aswell maids come in every day which is very good

I have just arrived at this hotel spending a lot of money to find that the pool is being renovated. So annoyed, I booked this place just for the pool. They do not have it anywhere that the pool is out of action, they are actually advertising that there is a pool. No refund, nothing offered. I would not recommend coming here at all

Brace yourself this is a long one!!!! We stayed at this hotel for 14 nights. They advertised 12pm check in and we arrived at 12.30 after a very long journey and had to wait until 3pm for our room to be ready. So.... ROOM: we had a nice view of the sea and the city from the 13th floor HOWEVER the hotel is surrounded by other tall buildings and a main road plus a big construction site... so if you are not lucky enough to get a room quite high up I wouldn't be enthusiastic about the view you'll get. The room was very big and spacious with a very big balcony. However, our shower was broken, balcony doors do not lock and there was no safe in the room. Hot water from the shower always ran out after one shower leaving one of us having to have a cold shower. No kettle in the room, and no English channels on the TV. ROOMS DO NOT HAVE WIFI. YOU HAVE TO PAY €3.50 PER DAY for WiFi in your room. LOCATION: good location, close to a long strip of beaches. Close to bars, restaurants and shops but very pricey and touristy area. A lidl supermarket about 20 min walk away which was good for us as we were self catering. POOL: outdoor pool pretty basic, but good and clean. Small Kids pool available. Generally very busy during the day. We stayed in last two weeks of september. This hotel advertised an indoor pool and gym however we never saw or were able to gain access to these, the doors were always locked. HOTEL RESTURAUNT: AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL. I would NOT recommend staying all inclusive at this hotel. The do not serve any cocktails. None. They have a poor selection but that doesn't matter cause nothing is ever available anyway and it is very over priced. A pizza menu with around 12 different pizzas on it, we were told only ONE type from the menu was available, and when we requested that without mushrooms, we discovered that was not possible because they were ready made FROZEN PIZZAS. FOR €7!!!!! Staff at the bar/ resturant quite rude and unwilling to help you out. Everything down to table sauces were limited availability. No opening or closing times of restaurant advertised and it closes at random times of the day, left us having to venture out to eat lunch on days when we just wanted to chill by the pool side. CLEANERS: extremely rude and unprofessional. They come at all times of the day they have no routine so you never know when to expect them which was bad for us because we were self catering, A few times they came whilst we were eating or preparing lunch and when we requested they come back later they were very rude, tutting and eye rolling and on THREE occasions they did not bother to return. They only change the towels every 3 days at this hotel which is discusting if you shower twice a day which most people do in hot weather when you are visiting the pool/beach!!  We had to go down to reception and request clean towels. To finish on a positive note. The staff at reception, were amazing. Generally very professional, ALWAYS willing to help. Very smiley and welcoming. Helped us to book our outings, gave us advice on cab fares and travelling .ect. Particularly Roul and one other reception worker who's name we never learned (we just called him smiley) *picture attatched* All in all, not the worst place to stay in the world but this was partly due to the fact that we didn't really spend much time in the hotel outside of the necessary time (showering/sleeping/preparing lunch) But I would never ever recommend all inclusive or even half board here. To summarise : If you're holiday is all about your hotel, AVOID. If you are more of an outdoors person and you won't spend much time inside.... go for it.

Stayed here for 5 days the past week and I have to say I will definitely be returning. The apartment was very standard and basic, clean and tidy and had everything you needed if you wished to reside and cook in it. For the price I paid I got everything I needed. I also don't understand when reviewers say the room was nothing special when for the price it exceeded my expectations and also size. To put into perspective, when I go on a sunny holiday I spend the least of my time in the room, and mostly on the beach or out for dinner and drinks or walking, so why would I need anything more bougie than a basic model apartment? for the novelty? I don't find it necessary. The only thing I didn't like was the restaurant and how it was supposed to work from a certain hour to a certain hour yet around the afternoon it wasn't open without warning. Nonetheless I WILL be returning if ever I go back to Portimao.

A good, clean hotel well designed for self catering - room had a good sized kitchen. A good sized room, a 10min walk to Praia da Rocha. A bar/snack bar would really compliment the pool area! Staff good and no complaints.

We went to Clube Praia Mar for our yearly trip to Praia da Rocha. Usually we stay on strip, but this year, we wanted to get an apartment so we decided to get an Airbnb. The apartment we had was gorgeous - plenty of space and updated. The staff at the hotel / complex were also amazing. Very friendly, and always smiling. The pool was also great (and HUGE!) Even if it was busy, you had plenty of *you* space. The reason I didn't give this place five stars is because it's not updated. The elevators are slow, small, and cramped. The main floors have limited lighting, which makes it look like you're in a scene in a horror movie. Also, the hot water heater kept needing to reheat while we were taking showers. If those things were better or fixed, I'd redo my review to reflect the updates.

Great location and spacious room. However huge issue with hot water and it seems to be a general problem in the property as I heard multiple complaints from other guests. You cannot take a long hot shower and by long I mean letting the water run while you shampoo , then next person will have only ice cold water ...or will have to wait at least 30min for a warm bath. I tried to ring the reception and to my surprise the phone in the room is not even connected to the plug ... nor has cables ! I asked if my friends ( staying in another room) had their phone working and they had the same dummy phone ... with no cables ??? So location and a huge balcony are the only 2 good aspects of this property

This place is Wow! My wife and I started at another apartment in the core restaurant zone of Playa do Rocha before coming here. Night and day! We thought, but were wrong, that being in the middle of the shops, markets, bars, restaurants would be good. So very noisy there! Till 4am or later. This is Paradise in comparison. Quiet, comfy, huge balcony. Awesome sunset from this side. We are in a 15th floor 1 bedroom apartment and it is gorgeous! Awesome ocean view! Met the manager of the property and he is very nice. Short walk to the water and many very nice restaurants. Be sure to check out All Beef restaurant, if you like meat. 5 STARS!
