★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best pastel de Nata we are all along our trip in Portugal!!! Not even in Porto or Lisbon.
We did find as creamy and tasty anywhere else. Crispy puff pastry.
Nice place. Historical, romantic, quiet, ... take it as you want.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely cafe tucked away in a laneway. They are cash only. The coffee and pasteis de natas are delicious. They don’t have green wine which was the only part of this experience I didn’t like. Not everywhere has green wine though so it’s not a big deal, just pointing it out for options. There is a lot of seating and they have wifi.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A highlight of any Portuguese experience. Pasteis de nata (egg tart) consumption is basically a religion and if it is, this is it's cathedral. Went in for 1, spent an hour and a half there and loved every minute. Try the almond tart and the bean tart. Talk to the lovely team about the significance of the dessert wine pasteis de nata were traditionally consumed with. Then ask them about the original Roman wall that runs through the cafe. Brilliant, brilliant brilliant. Will return.
Update: second day in and highly recommend both the veal and the spinach and mushroom pasties. Wow.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I love the ambience of this pastry shop and of course the Pastel de Nata! They taste really nice and not too sweet. I also recommend the Queijada. If you like savory dish, you can choose various kinds of Empada. One with mushroom and spinach is delicious.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We visited this pastry shop to try the local pastries!! The best decision we did!! We asked a mix of pastels and everything was super tasty and fresh. Our favourite one was the pastel de nata!! We also tried the empada with spinach and mushrooms and the empada with chicken. Both were totally amazing!! It also worth to try cappuccino. The prices were super normal for Portugal and the staff was very kind and friendly. They were patient with us and they explained us everything before to order!!
