Absolutely delicious! "Queijinho dos céus" is made of eggs and nuts, rolled in a thin cloth. It looks like a small cheese, and tastes like heaven. The lady behind the counter is lovely, and makes everything herself. One of my best unexpected stops traveling around Portugal.

Really nice traditional pasticcerie , we went twice and tried all the range. Best to taste the two in the photos which I've forgotten the name , anyway the first white one is very delicate and balanced almond paste that enclose a rich, yolky egg cream while the second one is a super light sweet and savoury cheese flaky pastry where the cinnamon connect the dots. Go there for the joy of the baked goods as it's a Portugal gem.

We loved the pastries and I did not see any as this one in Evora or other Alentejo cities(1 week stay in Alentejo). It is true I have asked for a "Galão coffee oscuro" and I go t a clear one. We asked for a cappuccino and we got a regular latte. We got a very nice man serving us and answering our questions related to the pastries but the young girls looked like depressed(comments from my kids). Not used to this in Portugal. Aside from this, we loved the place. Toilets extremely clean and very comfortable and well decorated room. Nice terrace also!. I recommend this place in Evora!

The desserts are ok, too sweet for a typical no-sweet-supportive Chinese, but it's recommended to Western tasters. However, the staff really irritated us, I don't know why, but they behave roughly and impolitely, not patient, no smile. My worst experience in Europe. (I have only met a staff as impatient as them in China.)

This really is a pastry shop for conventional pastries, meaning don't come in expecting croissants and berliners. We tried a few different ones some were better than others, but they were overall good. The setting and decor is lovely!

Delicious pastries and you can see that every morsel is prepared with love and attention to detail. The building itself is a delight to sit in and soak up the local atmosphere. The Toucinho rancoso is especially good!
