★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great hotel in the center of this historical city. Good rooms, clean as usual for Vila Gale group and an amazing lobby to move without any restraints. Interior pool quite cool with spa to relax after visiting all monuments and city center. Glad for the experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great hotel. Hospitality and cleaning was the best. Food is diverse and has good quality. Facilities are adapted for people with physical limitations...5 minutes walk from an historical place where you can find some churches and archeological monuments...the only flaw to me is the lack of a life guard next to the pools

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I spent the last 30 years traveling and it was the first time I presented a formal complaint.
Please be aware that:
- the Vila Galé Evora doesn't read or accept Covid19 vacination certificates non Portuguese - i.e. the UK NHS certificate;
- in an effort to 'save paper' doesn't have printed guidance and expects all clients to use QR codes to read instructions and guidance;
- staff are in several cases very ignorant, and believe in stereotypes not seen in a developed country for decades;
- the hotel Vila Galé Évora is not sensitive to age, gender or special needs;
- Assumes at times a very discriminatory approach in practice, and as a woman I felt extremely uncomfortable at times;
In a period of 24h we experience four very unpleasant incidents.
The city of Évora is very beautiful, deserves better hotels. I don't recommend a stay in this hotel - it will ruin your visit for leasure or work

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The service at the hotel is very average, the experience is very similar to a 3 star hotel:
- there’s no place to stop the car in front of the hotel and do the check-in. You need to park and come with the bags all the way to the reception
- the staff seem overwhelmed with the amount of work they have and are unable accommodate all the requests. So unfortunately they aren’t able to welcome you in a nice and warm way or ask how you’re doing and how was your trip
- the rooms are not sound proof and you can easily hear what’s happening in the room closer to yours
- we encountered a problem with the food at breakfast: the fruit had a piece of glass in it and unfortunately the staff wasn’t very apologetic. Afterwards, there was no follow-up of why that happened or an apology.
- one night, we tried to ring the reception to open the paid parking (we had to pay an extra 7.5€/night for parking) and no one answered. We had to go to the reception and no one was there to help us out until a nice employee from the hotel restaurant came and helped us out.

Rooms are big enough for singles and couples. The sheets are clean and changed every day. The path room is clean.
The breakfast has various options including vigitarian choices. There are free apples ? all the the time in the reception. The spa is great.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A really nice, modern-style hotel in Évora. Great restaurant. The rooms are spotless. The staff is very helpful. I dropped an envelope containing several hundred dollars and it was found by the staff and returned promptly. Great service. I'll stay here again next time I'm in town.
