The most authentic experience we’ve had in the city. Maria’s passion is only exceeded by her knowledge of porto wines! Her genuine personality and cross-cultural upbringing will ease you into appreciating porto wines like no one other, I’m convinced!
The even better part - you’d be supporting local porto producers! … Unique stories, brave innovation in porto making, producing from the heart while during the day they fulfil mere mortal jobs: economists, psychologists, engineers, etc.
I dare you to show me a big porto house name that gives you the quality these small producers muster!
Above all, LADO wines source their cheeses & charcuterie from small producers as well… pure joy!
You’ll regret not visiting them!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is THE place to go if you have even a remote interest in wine. An amazing selection of small vintages from the Douro Valley region. I learned a lot about the fine wines from this area.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My husband and I just had the most wonderful experience here. Maria was just lovely and so knowledgeable about wine and port. We were there for 3 hours tasting white and red wine, as well as white port. All the wine and port is from smaller producers and is phenomenal. Marias knowledge of the wine, as well as the history and process is quite incredible. I can safely say it’s the best wine experience we’ve had in Porto so far!
