★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stayed here for 5 days. In one word- AMAZING.
Very fast WiFi here. Spotless bathroom and room.
We requested a hard mattress when we booked and when we arrived we were very pleased. Bed was so comfortable. Room was nice and neat, with very nice view to the ocean.
Beach is close to the hotel, where we took nice strools in mornings and evenings. It is nice place for both sunbathing and surfing.
Breakfast was superb. There are coffees and teas and different pastries, cheese, ham, bacon, mushrooms, beans, eggs, peanut batter, ripe fruits, juices. We were delighted with big selection on breakfast buffet. Very well presented. Very nice restaurant with a sunshine shining through the big windows.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hotel is nice. Staff has been very friendly and accomodating. Rooms are clean and breakfast was good. Only downside it is up a hill from the closest beach and about a 25 minute walk to city center/old town. If you drive everywhere its perfect.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Loved it, want to go back! The manager was so attentive and helpful, this was a place I enjoyed and felt important at! He let us taste his homemade Portuguese-style hot sauce, made with olive oil. Good stuff. We both enjoyed the custom made omelettes in the morning. The cut fruit at breakfast was actually ripe and mouth-watering! The murals in our room were amazing photos of local beaches and cliffs. The advice was great. Our time here was too short!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The location was good.
The room was ok.
But, being next to a construction site, without any notice in advanced was a bad surprise. The aim of this kind of trips is relaxing and relaxing in this place was impossible...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lot's of noise from construction near by in the morning starting at 7 am and motorcycles around midnight. Rooms should have a PVC balcony to protect form outside noises, and not that sliding door nonsense. Sometimes you could also hear the other guests "excited" in their rooms.
The room was small and the bathroom had see-through walls, which provided no privacy, so it's not good for families. It reminded me of a jail cell.
The pool should have a non smoking area, everyone was always smoking, which is bad for people with asthma and other respiratory illnesses.
The food in the bar is kind of bad and expensive, so you probably going to have to find an alternative.
Breakfast was ok and room cleaning was good.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stayed two nights in a room with sea-view at the Lagos Atlantic hotel. It was a very nice and new room, clean swimming pool, with a quick bar by the side with polite and helpful staff.
The breakfast seemed to have some old fruits and was being refilled less frequent as you would expect from a 4 star hotel. Also there was only 2 coffee capsules in the room and for more you would need to ask the lobby- I personally found this low when paying 130 Euros/night in Portugal. I would anyhow rate them as 5 because in overall we had a great time there.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great hotel. My husband and I stayed here for 1 week and had a lovely stay. The staff were all very friendly and kind (especially the young guy at breakfast, apologies, I didn't get his name). It has a good pool, great breakfast, rooms are very clean and the location was perfect. I would definitely recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Two stars rating for a four star hotel. It could’ve been a one star but the nice, helpful staff made up for another one.
Our “sea view” room was a “construction site view” room. Cranes, heavy machinery, loud noises. See pictures. It also looks like the construction site is there to stay for a long time - as they were just getting started.
Shamefully, the hotel did not give us a heads-up about this - likely because we would have NOT booked.
We were woken up every day at 7-8am by the site that was just next to our window.
The pool was decent and the room was nice, but in my opinion not worthy of the four stars.
Breakfast was at most average. Cold and dry bacon with a poor selection of other meats.
