On a Saturday in Feb the queue lasted 1.5 h. Inside it looks pretty but was a bit crowded for my liking and everyone was just waiting to have a picture by the staircase. I'm not sure if I'd recommend it although is something to do to make up some time

Buy your tickets online!! We only got them the day before but avoided the long line outside. It's a beautiful bookstore and the books are so beautifully curated and designed. Especially the small ones they have of classics in different languages. But very crowded as a tourist destination so hard to get those desired pictures. Just enjoy it in person!

We absolutely LOVED our visit!! The bookstore is so beautiful. From the outside the store is very unassuming. We actually passed it the night before without knowing where we were. We were able to speak with a staff member and get lots of history on the building and the publishing company. The staircase was so incredibly beautiful. Also, there are so many books in English!! Wonderful time!!!

How can you come to Porto and not stop in? What a lovely visit. For a non book lover you can finish the tour (self walk through), in 10 minutes. If you like to pick some books you can easily spend 30 minutes here.

Amazing library, used in Harry Potter's movies. The entrance 5 euros and you need to buy it through their website. The Library is small and can be seen in a few minutes. The most beautiful part is the curved stairway. A must see in Porto

Very cool and ornate book store which makes you want to read more books! You need to pay €5 for entrance but you can use the voucher to buy book with €5 discount. However it’s a super popular and busy place, and taking a good photo seems impossible.

The book store that inspired Harry Potter is worth the time while visiting Porto. Get your tickets online is the best way to get in. Be prepared to wait in line. It took us around 20 minutes to get inside. Once inside marvel at the amazing architecture and pick up a book to take with you!

One of a most visit place in Porto (that is what people often said). I have been in Portugal almost 3 years and never been inside of the place. I am just passing in front of it many times and the queue is always long. Pros: 1. Parking accessible for wheelchair. 2. Entrance accessible for wheelchair. 3. Unique building with its decorations. 4. Informative staffs. 5. You can buy the ticket online. 6. You can buy book here. Cons: 1. The queue is kind of long. Maybe it is better to visit in the end of the day to avoid the crowd.
