★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had dinner here with my fiancée yesterday. It’s a great location with an amazing view over the old town of Coimbra. Furthermore delicious dishes and good wines were served by a very courteous staff!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Expensive place, you have to wait for everything for ages, the stuff looks like someone made them work there as a punishment. There are many better places to eat and drink. The only advantage is river view.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is a place to have drinks followed by dinner at sunset time when visiting Coimbra. Adjacent to the Machado de Castro museum (National Art Museum) offering a spectacular view, friendly service and good food, Loggia deserves its reputation as one of the best restaurants of this historical city which is home to one of the worlds oldest universities. Sitting at the terrace, you can admire the university’s overwhelming architecture and the beautiful winding Mondego river while sipping your Caipirinhas before having a tasty meal.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ While we were walking through Coimbra we stumbled upon this restaurant. From the distant we saw people eating on the balcony. So we went inside to check it out.
Apparently there's a special menu from 12:00 - 15:00. A soup, main dish, dessert, glass of wine, water and a espresso all together for €9,50. I call that a great deal! On top of that you will have a great view over the city. Also friendly staff and clean restaurant. Worth a visit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing place, with incredible views on the city, next to the university and between both of cathedrals. Really recommended brunch with huge variety of different salted and sweet dishes.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went with high expectation for the view & gourmet pics in its site. However, the real experience is not that nice. 1st, the restaurant is extremely hard to get, location good with position hidden. 2nd, it’s short in staff (probably due to COVID). There were only 2 employees for kitchen, reception, serving & cleaning. So you have to wait very long to be seated & served. So I arrived there, thirsty & hungry but not seated and given drink quickly as wish. So it was bit disappointing. 3 stars for the view & overworking staff. Hope they could go back to a better management & operation.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Located in the Machado de Castro museum. Stunning views towards the old cathedral. Stop for a coffee or enjoy the prefixed lunch menu at a good value included drinks/wine/beer. 12.5 weekends or 10 euro weekdays. Pleasant, professional English-speaking servers.
