★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A igreja de São Salvador data do século XII, faz parte do patrimônio românico de Coimbra, fundada antes de 1064, o edifício atual mantém as suas características originais. Suas colunas e capitéis são decorados com figuras geométricas. Possui uma linguagem Renascentista Coimbrão com obras do escultor João de Ruan. No seu interior é observado azulejos historiados de talhas douradas e pinturas, sendo uma característica do Barroco Português. No século XVIII faz umas mudanças revestindo a igreja com azulejos azuis e brancos a capela no estilo Rococó datado 1746. Atualmente a igreja está em obras de restauração. Ontem tivemos a oportunidade de assistir grupos de coral de Coimbra organizado pela União das Juntas das Freguesias de Coimbra.
The church of San Salvador dates from the twelfth century, is part of the Romanesque heritage of Coimbra, founded before 1064, the current building retains its original features. Its columns and capitals are decorated with geometric figures. It has a Renaissance language Coimbrão with works of the sculptor João de Ruan. In its interior is observed historical tiles of gilded carvings and paintings, being a characteristic of the Portuguese Baroque. In the eighteenth century it changes the church with blue and white tiles in the Rococo style chapel dated 1746. The church is currently under restoration. Yesterday we had the opportunity to attend groups of choir of Coimbra organized by the Union of the Joint of the Parishes of Coimbra.
