★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is hard to write anything negative about this hotel. Check in was a breeze and very helpful. I arrived very early yet the hotel made sure to accomodate me after a very long journey to Lisbon.
Location is perfect and will have you in all the great spots in no time. Anjos boast quite an array of ethnic and portugese restaurants, all just a few steps away from the hotel
Security is tight as you might prefer. Elevators a bit cramped , but thats europe I guess. Double beds are very comfy.The rooms spacious with a generous closet. Bathrooms are super clean providing a nice polished finish.
Here is the funny part though, you are not allowed to eat in your room , a no food and delivery sign is posted in your room. I admit I noticed the poster after the fact and felt a bit criminal about it .I imagine this is to protect their interest but it is strange and does devalue the experience a bit.
The balcony is nice with a lovely view of Lisbons busy streets. Seating is not available on the balcony and a strong automated spotlight is pointed into the room. A dimmer light might do the trick
The hotel is dressed up very well and the staff do a great job. Overall the economy shopper will appreciate the value as it is a fantastic deal.
