★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ich mag die einfache Küche Portugals. Dieses Restaurant war eine Enttäuschung. Drei Sterne für die Bedienung. Die Küche hat nur einen Stern verdient. Die Knoblauchgarnelen (als Starter) waren zu trocken. Der gegrillte Lachs muss in der Mikrowelle aufgetaut worden sein, denn er war außen hart und innen nicht sehr saftig. Der extra Reis war nicht einmal etwas gesalzen. Der gegrillte Octopus war lauwarm und die meisten Stücke auch sehr trocken. Anden dazu servierten Kartoffeln war nichts auszusetzen.
I like the simple cuisine of Portugal. This restaurant was a disappointment. Three stars for the service. The kitchen deserves only one star. The garlic prawns (as a starter) were too dry. The grilled salmon must have been defrosted in the microwave as it was tough on the outside and not very juicy on the inside. The extra rice wasn't even salted a bit. The grilled octopus was lukewarm and most of the pieces were also very dry. There was nothing wrong with the potatoes that were served with it.

Not your typical resort eatery, really good fresh food, located slightly away from the crowds and blessed with superb views and reasonably priced. Helpful, polite and engaging staff - one in particular, 'J.P.'. If we return to Albufeira we will visit again.
