★ ★ ★ ★ ★ So pleasantly surprised by this lovely beach bar in one of the most beautiful towns my family has ever stumbled upon. We were looking for a light early lunch, not expecting much and ended up with a lunch that went above and beyond. This is where we discovered how delicious burgers in Portugal are! Everything from the coffee, to the salads, to the burgers, to the service and overall atmosphere created by being literally ON the beach made for an incredible experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Out of all places in Portugal, this is by far the worst restaurant. Poor service, poor food, overpriced, poor music! A classic tourist trap. We don’t recommend in coming here and simply don’t understand all the good reviews here. It must be people who are usually not having good food. You can see on the picture these are the worst calamari ever eaten.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very good for a lunch on the beach! If you’re spending your day on this beach then it’s a very good choice to grab a cocktail, morning coffee and sit down for lunch.
The service is nice but a bit slow, but the staff are very polite and friendly!
Everything on the menu comes with fries (even omelette), which we found a bit strange but it works well if you’re very hungry :) it’s a bit overpriced for what you get, but I guess it’s the price for convenience of beach bar! I would also note that it’s very clean and has neat toilets and even showers.
Draft beer, sardines, and sangria are good!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It’s all about Location for this bar/cafe. It’s directly on the beach. I love to sit on the beach chairs in front of the restaurant with a bucket of beers on the table as the sun sets. It’s a hotel bar so the prices are accordingly to that.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As you can see in the photo, Roca bar is beautifully situated on the beach. The view from the terrace to the sea is breathtaking. Keep in mind, partly due to this location, that the prices are on the high side by local standards. But the environment makes it worth it!
