Parque de Campismo Rural Vale do Beijames - Km 4

Quiet small camping with places with lots of shade. Perfect place to unwind, gaze at the stars or have a beer with other guests and the owner at the beautiful terras.

Perfectly peaceful place, well designed tent spots (flat yet water draining!)), very friendly owner who gave us lots of info on the good places around, including hiking tracks he built himself in the nearby mountain. Very much recommended.

We stayed in the autumn in the little cabins. Really beautiful place, family run by locals who are very helpful. Definitely visit again on my next motorcycle tour of the Serra dear Estrella mountains.

It was greatly located in the middle of the mountains. Owner and its dog (Lina) were lovely and always trying to help us. Prices were €4 per person, €4 for the car and 4€ for the tent. Place is well prepared for camping and even has some basic bungalows (be brave...), not outstanding but with ready nice common spaces to bbq and even inside tables if it is cold. Will repeat!

Wonderful camping managed by a lovely family. Amazing mountain views, sheeps grazing nearby, great advice for bathing in the river and walks nearby. Available wooden tables for eating and very clean shower rooms. This was our favorite camping in Portugal.

We totally recommend this one. The most beautiful camping in Portugal. The staff is very friendly, they would love to inform you about a good hike, but unfortunately we didn't have come to this one. Clean showers and toilets, there is a bar and some lovely dogs and cute kittens. We really want to come back soon to do the hike. Thank you for everyhing.

Could not recommend this lovely campsite more. Absolutely lovely location, great pitches and adequate shower block. Shower water wasn't very warm though which would have been nice on a colder evening. Were one of the very few people there as it was just after the weekend and some rainy weather was coming in. Hosts so welcoming and spoke English as well. They even moved our towels and chairs to dry safety when we were still out hiking so make sure they didn't get soaked. You can buy a hiking map of the local area there for €14 which isn't easy to get online abroad. Lovely routes directly from there or around Manteigas. The 500m offroad road to the campsite is not very suitable for anything larger than a L3/L4 campervan though and actual motorhomes I think should give it a pass. We have a L3/H2 van of around 2.70m including Solar panels etc and wouldn't want to risk it with something higher or wider. Cars and tents have quite a few spots, and there were about 6 relatively large flat pitches for campervans. For larger vehicles I recommend not taking the entry that has the sign pillar, but the one slightly further down the road (traveling south) as it's a bit less steep. The turn is a bit awkward there, so we opted to drive on a bit until a point we could turn and then enter that road driving northward.
