T	Telma Pinto on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Escolhi o Valhelhas Camping para uma escapadinha de fim-de-semana, no entanto, ficou um pouco aquém das expectativas. Começando pelos pontos positivos: a praia fluvial/piscina natural de bandeira azul é muito boa. Local muito agradável apesar do pouco controlo do distanciamento social face à situação actual (covid-19). O staff é bastante simpático e acolhedor, e os preços praticados para o campismo são bons (qualidade/preço). O que gostei menos: não existe local próximo para estacionar o carro, sendo o estacionamento interior pago. Não existem mesas no parque todo apesar de vários locais para fazer grelhados. Os balneários estavam pouco cuidados e não existe papel higiénico. Apesar de estar mencionado no site a existência gratuita de internet sem fios no parque, a palavra passe só é fornecida aos clientes do restaurante e nos 3 dias que estivemos, funcionou no total de 5 minutos. Os valores praticados no restaurante estão bastante acima do esperado (qualidade/preço). Existe muito pouco controlo no distanciamento das tendas de campismo. Não existe qualquer panfleto com informações/sugestões do que visitar na zona. Ainda assim espero voltar com amigos, já com consciência das falhas do parque. Até breve. I chose Valhelhas Camping for a weekend getaway, however, it fell short of expectations. Starting with the positive points: the river beach/blue flag natural pool is very good. Very pleasant place despite little control of social distancing from the current situation (covid-19). The staff is very friendly and welcoming, and the prices for camping are good (quality/price). What I liked least: there is no place nearby to park the car, and indoor parking is paid. There are no tables in the entire park despite several places to grill. The changing rooms were poorly maintained and there is no toilet paper. Despite mentioning on the website the existence of free wireless internet in the park, the password is only given to restaurant customers and in the 3 days we were there, it worked for a total of 5 minutes. The values practiced in the restaurant are much higher than expected (quality/price). There is very little control over the distance from the camping tents. There is no pamphlet with information/suggestions of what to visit in the area. Still, I hope to return with friends, already aware of the park's flaws. See you soon.
L	Laisa Barreto on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ O espaço é bom, a praia fluvial próxima é bem legal, com área para trekking e afins. Talvez uma das melhores praias que encontrei aqui na serra da estrela. O acesso é bem fácil, sem nenhum trecho tenso ou sem asfalto. Ficam só algumas considerações: - banheiros: pareciam bem limpos, apesar de constantemente alagados. Apenas a água do chuveiro que era fria e tinha cheiro um pouco estranho. - som: há um bar bem ao centro do espaço e havia um "paredão" de caixas que tocou música eletrônica em som ensurdecedor até a meia noite. Poderia ser até um pouco mais cedo, não? - recepção: até agora me pergunto se cometi alguma gafe pra receber um atendimento tão grosseiro, mas ok. Sem outros problemas. The space is good, the river beach nearby is very nice, with an area for trekking and the like. Perhaps one of the best beaches I found here in Serra da Estrela. Access is very easy, without any tense stretches or asphalt. Here are just a few considerations: - bathrooms: they looked very clean, despite being constantly flooded. Just the water in the shower which was cold and smelled a little weird. - sound: there is a bar right in the center of the space and there was a "wall" of boxes that played electronic music in deafening sound until midnight. It could be a little earlier, no? - reception: so far I'm wondering if I made a mistake to receive such rude service, but ok. No other problems.

There is hot water in the showers and the river for a swim (which is a godsend in the summer to have so close) is literally a minutes walk from the campsite. I would strongly recommend this place.

I give a low rate as from the two WC facilities, not a single of the 6 showers was working properly. Either too cold or to hot a d not allowing to regulate temperature. And using the annoying 3-5 seconds push taps... Covid justifies many things, but not non working showers. Gladly the swimming in rivers around allow you to keep washed... If it wasn't for the sympathy of the staff, I would give it one star. Of course the river beach setting near the river Zêzere is great, but that's not the campsite.

Outside there are picnic places, bars, open air restaurant, music and a lot of crystalline water to swim around. Spent an awesome time here. Recommended!
