★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ordered a fish dish for 3. The fish chunks were raw and the prawns badly prepared. We returned the dish untouched and didn't want another as we were feeling very put off by eating uncooked fish. Went to leave so asked for thr bill but was very surpised yhey wanted to charge us full price even though we hadn't eaten it and they agreed that it was uncooked . Service was friendly but not great; weren't given serviettes, things forgotten . Wanted this place to be good as it is an independent in a very touristy area, but sadly I'd say not worth the risk

Daily specials were €6.50 with a soup. From the menu the best Salmon I've had in a long time for €8
Very simple local place, not much in the way of decoration, patrons are mainly local workers.
Not a tourist place so don't expect translated menus, nor any special treatment.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great local food. The portions are big and the price is very reasonable considering the location of the restaurant. Very casual atmosphere. Be prepared to wait (never come in a hurry! The service can be slow, and you will need time to finish the food) but also to taste real portuguese home made food. The staff is very friendly.

I don’t understand the bad reviews. It’s a good place for inexpensive lunch. Good portions. I went here two times. I will come back in my next trip to Porto.
