★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This historic guesthouse is just incredible, there's no doubt about it. It's a completely unique and memorable place to stay, the bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was great. The communication and treatment of guests though, left A LOT to be desired. I was blown away by how rude and pretentious they were. I walked around and around this building for half an hour trying to find anything - a sign, a door that appeared open, etc - to the point where I, alone, lugging my suitcase all over cobblestone streets, was in tears from exhaustion, hunger and frustration. I banged on all of the doors. I tried to go into another nearby hotel to ask them if they knew anything and to see if I could get on wi-fi (THEY were extremely friendly and nice but the wi-fi didn't work). I was able to pull up the one email I had and called the number. I will admit to being very frustrated - but instead of being empathetic, treating the customer as being right and saying anything to the effect of "I'm so sorry you had this experience", the manager instead was extremely argumentative and rude to me and BLAMED ME for not "checking my email"!! I always check my email - I keep my inbox at zero. If your email goes to spam and I wasn't aware that it was a self-checkin situation to begin with and wouldn't even know to be on the lookout for an email - that is not my fault. Even if it were my fault - you don't blame your customer. First of all, you should have a reminder system. So a day or two before arrival, that's when you send an email with information about checkin. Not 10 days in advance as they claimed they did. I work in customer service as well. I understand customers are not always right - but you TREAT THEM as if they are always right!! Once I FINALLY got inside - it was absolutely pitch black. Not a single light left on for me or any information about the space. Not a great welcome. This is the kind of place that would really benefit from having someone to actually welcome you. I also found the half used bottles of Pantene and hand soap in the shower to be kinda cheap and gross.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A 15th century building that used to be the owner's family summer home. Now the converted some if the rooms as guest rooms. They still live there and meet new people from all around the globe. Charming charming place with good breakfast and good people

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ When you get there you might loose your words. You simply enter a fantasy world. All the attention that was put into decoration, all the details and passion create this unique place. Not to mention the friendliness of the host Maria and her husband.
Definetely a place to return any time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Such a gem this place, a boutique hotel in a XVI century tower, restored, owned and managed by two architects, really lovely people. They got everything right.
The room was nice, comfortable and quiet, the common spaces where so stunning, they left us speechless, we couldn't stop taking photos :-) Self check-in, but went super smooth. Perfect breakfast as well.
Absolutely recommend.
