 You just have to experience it on foot, the difference between high tide and ebb is simply awesome, as if you were going back to another continent, you couldn't recognize the landscape again, as if it had changed

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tavira hat nach Lagos wohl die schönste Altstadt. Tolle Lokale und Bars. Die Brücke ist auch wirklich schön und bittet besten Blick auf den Fluss.
After Lagos, Tavira has probably the most beautiful old town. Great restaurants and bars. The bridge is really nice too and has the best view of the river.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Puente semi levadizo sobre el canal de Tavira. Este puente permite el acceso peatonal a la Isla de Tavira, una estrecha franja de arena de varios kilómetros de longitud que dispone de varias playas.
Una vez cruzado el puente podemos optar por seguir andando o tomar el trenecito que nos lleva directamente a la Playa Barril.
Desde este puente podemos contemplar unas hermosas vistas del Parque Natural de la Ría Formosa, sobretodo al atardecer.
Semi drawbridge over the Tavira canal. This bridge allows pedestrian access to the Island of Tavira, a narrow strip of sand several kilometers long that has several beaches.
Once we have crossed the bridge, we can choose to continue walking or take the little train that takes us directly to Playa Barril.
From this bridge we can contemplate beautiful views of the Ria Formosa Natural Park, especially at sunset.
