So many places have reviews talking about how touristy they are or how expensive they are etc. so I wasn't sure what to expect. I was thrilled I chose this place. Excellent musicians. Wonderful singer. Great staff. Surprise guest singers. The amount of time for performances was a good balance. Highly recommend it.

Go for the 9pm seating and you can stay until closing time (midnight). By the end of the evening you will feel like part of the family!

The charming ambiance (friendly and welcoming) provided a wonderful setting for both the music and food. The musicians are top notch. It is clear that they enjoy sharing their talent and passion for this special music.. The food was beyond my expectation. I had the pork Portuguese style which was perfectly seasoned. Generous portions. The wine was lovely as well. Be sure to consider making reservations as the seating is rather limited. That actually adds to the special nature of this little jewel! Highly recommend and hope to return in the future. Obrigada!

The first evening was so much fun that we decided to go there every evening for the rest of our 5-day stay in Lisbon. The atmosphere is simply fabulous! Brilliant fado singers whose music repertoire can give you goosebumps and leave you speechless or send you into a dance frenzy until the early hours :); the friendliest and funniest host/owner who instantly makes you feel part of a community; and delicious food to complement the port wine and ginjinha. :) I could not recommend this place more. It's a must-visit for anyone visiting or living in Lisbon.
