★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A ermida encontra-se em um local com vestígios de presença humana desde o Paleolítico Superior. A sua construção, datada do século XIII, é atribuída aos cavaleiros da Ordem dos Templários. Ao longo dos séculos terá sido alvo de várias reconstruções e alterações da sua estrutura, nomeadamente durante o século XV, e no século XVI, por volta de 1531 devido a um terremoto. Em 1819 a ermida foi escolhida para ser o Lazareto da vila devido a uma peste que alastrava em Espanha. Em 1907 foi alvo de obras que a descaracterizaram fortemente relativamente ao seu traçado original.
The hermitage is located in a place with traces of human presence since the Upper Paleolithic. Its construction, dating from the 13th century, is attributed to the Knights of the Order of the Templars. Over the centuries, it has been subject to several reconstructions and changes to its structure, namely during the 15th century and in the 16th century, around 1531 due to an earthquake. In 1819 the hermitage was chosen to be the Lazaretto of the village due to a plague that was spreading in Spain. In 1907, it was the subject of works that strongly mischaracterized it in relation to its original layout.

A beleza desta igreja é enorme. Vale a pena a visita.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Unusual church architecture like a Disney concoction, only genuine! Opening hours are peculiar so I couldn't get in. I jumped the low fence to enter the grounds and hang out in the peaceful wild abandoned garden. Very pleasant!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful church. Finally found a place that's quite, peaceful and beautiful without loud tourists. Felt really welcome by the friendly man at the door. He invited me in while I was hesitating and he gave me a postcard when I left donating some money to the church. Peacefull place that I will remember!
