★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We saw this wonderful little restaurant as we started to wander around Portimao and my wife wanted to go on the strength of the menu, so after exploring for a few hours more we re-traced our steps and went inside to this lovely small restaurant, quite late on during lunch service. Very glad we did - the food was superb, the sparkling wine was excellent, and the owner/chef was very helpful with explaining where the dishes came from whilst cooking and maintaining the restaurant. The only other people in were Portuguese, which we took to be a good sign. As we left, very satisfied, three people in a UK registered car pulled up and asked us if we liked the restaurant, as they said they'd often thought about going there but hadn't yet, and we had no hesitation in recommending that they should definitely go in...what an excellent restaurant!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The place doesn't accommodate many people so it feels quite intimate. We ordered the clam pasta and a serving of grilled beef tapas. The tapas was amazing, made us want to try more items from the menu (but we couldn't eat too much). The pasta was also good: you could taste the wine, nice portion (not too big or too small) and the pasta itself was aldente. Downsides: the pasta needed some pepper and the clams themselves didn't provide enough meat. But all in all very good.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I usually enjoy eating in restaurants but today is not the case. The ratings of this restaurant is amusing. We went there for a small dinner as I do not eat much. Me and my partner are young couples and for people like us, we are on a tight budget. We came there with an awkward entry. I am not liking the feeling same with my patner. We only ordered few but right after we sit we received a bread and pate and we got charge more than what we consumed, I usually thought it should be complimentary as I get used to it with some Asian cuisine, most entrees are included and free but not here. You need to be careful and simply say no, the bread looks like a day or two, it's hard to eat, the octopus is like a rubber, i don't even know how long was it, the Bolognese is not how i used to taste it, it is too sour. We shouldn't be paying for our dish but well, we all need to make a living but cheating on the price you paid is stealing, we are working for the money and being charged for things that we didn't consumed is not right and that's why I want to give it a one. I can be generous if I really enjoyed the meal but this one I would not recommend maybe it is indeed only for the local people but not for people who wants to try dish in Portimao.

We tasted some tapas and vinho da casa, it was all very tasty and fresh. Also the place is beautiful, traditional and comfortable.

Liked the atmosphere as it’s quite small and traditional. Didn’t take the best photos of the food cos it looked so good I ate everything before remembering to grab a shot
