β β β β β Good car hire company i recommend. No hard sell of extra insurance or other products if you don't want them. Small deposit of 300 euros which is much less than some - that's with no extra insurance. Check in quick and easy with no damage scam. This company also serves Alamo, Enterprise and National, so if you get a higher quote from on of these thinking you are getting more you might as well just use Guerin direct as it's the same office/company.

β β β β β The worst car rental EVER! Extremely rude, unqualified personnel. They were trying hard to sell us insurance for 25β¬/day too. On their website prices are twice/three times lower.They discriminated us because we are not from EU. They also only want EU Bank dread it card, which is not even poss to have for someone Dutch! They took so much time from us and gave nothing! HORRIBLE, NOT WORTH IT, OVERPRICED

β β β β β WARNING. We returned the car 15 minutes late. We were charged for an additional day. We were also charged a further day of premium insurance and were told this is "always included in the extra day".
Think very carefully about using this company. They are clearly out to make as much money as possible and are incapable of providing any kind of discretion -- even for families with young children and lots to unpack. We most certainly won't be using them again.
UPDATE: One month after returning we have also just been charged an additional sum for use of their Toll Road service. Remember that once they have your credit card number you are basically at their mercy.

β β β β β A word of warning: this company may be inclined to scam you. They rented me a car with a broken front bumper. The registration of the pre-rental damages was electronic in the hand of a clerk and due to Covid restrictions I was not able to see the screen. He said the damage was already registered. I returned the car to Lisbon airport and dropped the key to a key box due to an early flight. They charged 600 β¬Β from my account without asking or taking contact except an automatic email. Now they do not answer my emails and phone calls. The customer relations number does not even seem to work (perhaps blocked from abroad calls intentionally). Avoid.

β β β β β First time renting with Guerin and it was perfect. I called them before our vacation to confirm if the desired vehicle was available, which they were able to confirm. Then we arrived and picked up the car in less than 30 minutes. No one pushed an insurance on us (we were tricked into this by their neighbors Avis some years ago - we avoid Avis at all cost since then. A detailed review explaining the situation can be found on Avisβ Google reviews). After we returned the car, we were given a receipt stating everything was ok. Safety deposit is β¬300, which is very reasonable. You have to return the car with a full gas tank. The employees were extremely professional and kind. We had the feeling they were genuinely happy to have us as customers. We will definitely rent here again.

Almost no waiting time, very friendly staff.
Car was in excellent condition, with some minor damages.
But they told me to take pictures of the entire car just to be sure.
Returning the car was easy & quick, with again, very friendly staff.
I would absolute recommend Guerin.
Don't look any further for maybe just a little bit cheaper one.

β β β β β Really bad client service. I left my sun glasses in the car and I called them a while after the car drop off to recover the sun glasses. Their response was... "Sorry, we didn't found anything in the car. We checked everything and nothing was in the car." Yeah right! The only thing that makes me happy is that the person from this company that stole my sun glasses will not be able to use them, because it was SUN GLASSES WITH PRESCRIPTION. Do not trust this company. I was a regular customer and this was how they treated me. Imagine if you are a 1st time customer and if something happens to you!!! Thanks Anabela for your lack of services.

β β β β β Dreadful experience. I hired a car for a week, after which I deposited the key in their drop-box (as no-one was in the office) only to be informed by email that they were charging me β¬147 for damage to a wing mirror. I had not been involved in a collision and the damage was so slight that I would not have spotted it when I first hired the car.
Making such charges is highly unscrupulous practice.
