★ ★ ★ ★ ★ the stars would have been more but there were a few hiccups with my stay and I felt that compared to other 5 star hotels I have stayed at they were not resolved quickly and kept re-occuring which was disappointing. On the plus side the instructors for the exercise classes were amazing, the food was really good and the rooms were lovely but perhaps not if you wanted to travel with a partner (not an issue for me) but be aware the bathrooms have clear glass walls and the toilet isn't separate. There is a blind but its also see through so you need to be pretty comfortable with the person you are staying with.
The pool was nice and the full body massage I had was also perfect for me. The steam/indoor pool area was nice enough but you had to book slots to use it and although they indicated you would have it alone, you actually had it with 6 other people and I couldnt' see how they would clean everything between sessions.
They bill themselves as a hotel where the rooms are sound proofed and you can even have a sleep package to improve your sleep, for me however I slept really badly because they play music in the corridors night and day which kept waking me up. Its not particularly loud but I am used to silence and for me it was enough to distrupt my sleep. I requested that it be shut off outside my room and after several requests it did happen for two nights before it went back on again. Not ideal for me but may be an issue for other light sleepers.
The location was okay for me, a short walk into Alvor and quiet generally which suited me. The view from the room I had (131) was lovely and i could see mountains and the sea.
They supply a nice relaxing tea mix in the room and cups but no spoons or tea pot. The tea is loose and therefore makes a bit of a mess when making it directly in the cup. it would have been nicer to have a pot and I did request one, got it for a day before they cleared it away again with no replacement. Odd really as clearing or cleaning any plates or cups seemed to be something you had to ask for as they didn't always do it and they never once cleaned my balcony during my stay so there were a few crumbs there by the end of the 10 days.
The shower pressure was good and the bathrooms very modern. The shower drain was blocked by day 8 so it created a bit of a lake when showering however I did report it before I left and they said they would address it after I checked out. It wasn't a problem for me if the room flooded but I expect not great for maintenance.
The breakfasts were my favourite part of the day as they were amazing, there was loads of food and it was really healthy and filling. I used to take the bread/pastry selection away with me as it was too much before exercise class but great for a light lunch afterwards. The evening meals were also great but prehaps a little pricey compared with the food in town. They only had the one restaurant open when I stayed so the menu was a little small when covering all meal choices. Specials were offered each day and were lovely. The fish dishes were especially great.
There were lots of loan travellers and groups/couples so a nice mix of guests, all of whom were really friendly. No entertainment at night which is perfect for my tastes but may not suit everyone.
Overall I liked my stay at the hotel, the classes, food and most of the treatments were great and for those reasons I would go back. I would change a few things and hope that customer service improved beyond where it is just now but mostly things got resolved and they staff tried their best against some odd company policy rules.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hotel with excellent facilities. Staff tried very hard to be helpful at all times when issues cropped up. Breakfast is huge and overall the food in particular is excellent.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Honestly one of the more memorable stays I have had in a long time. From the greeting at the front desk - to the quiet spa feel of the hotel - the staff were so amazing and kind and could not do enough for us. We were lucky enough to have one of their suites - which had another bathroom and amazing living area - with views of the countryside and ocean.
Had amazing treatments from Ricardo and his team - the scrub and massage and body wrap - super.
Really appreciated how quiet it is here and really is a rare find in the Algarve. No children is really a blessing and I came back relaxed and grateful. The breakfast is almost too much to eat - what a spread. Loved that the staff remembered things like what kind of coffee I had and what I preferred. Would go back in an instant!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful, brand new facilities.
Staff are above and beyond, nothing is too much trouble. Marcos and Beatriz on front desk have been super helpful with recommendations, helping us find some amazing places to eat. We have really enjoyed the yoga classes and the spa is lovely with amazing massages, v technical staff. Gym is really top notch, extensive, brand new Technogym kit and immaculately maintained. Breakfast delicious and v healthy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We called into this hotel when we arrived in Alvor for a short break in February. We met Rebecca in reception and told her we hadnt heard about this hotel. She immediately asked us if we would like to see a room. She showed us 3 rooms and recommended a room so we booked in immediately. The hotel is quite new, it was very quiet when we spent our 2 days there, but we didnt mind. We had the jacuzzi and hot tub to ourselves one evening looking out at the beautiful sunset. Rebecca booked a taxi and really nice restaurant for us on Valentines night. Breakfast was served at the table on 3rd Floor, very nice, no hot buffets here. Various wellness classes during the day but we didnt have much time to avail of them. Will definitely be back again. Thanks to all the friendly staff, but a special thanks to Rebecca, she is an excellent person to have on front staff, so pleasant and so professional. As it was so quiet we were treated like royalty.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ For a well-being hotel it certainly didn't feel like that and I left early feeling upset and disappointed in the service. Definitely would NOT recommend. I've had better customer service from far more basic hotels and didn't expect treatment or service from a supposedly 5 star hotel. Poor organisation and management particularly from the front desk manager, Sofia I believe her name was. I spent a long time researching what I wanted from my trip and decided upon this hotel. I spent my time putting my requests for services before I arrived and was reassured that these would be booked. I arrived and subsequently found out nothing was booked and because of my short time there it would be difficult to organise. I constantly felt from Sofia the manager that I was a burden to ask or have these things rearranged and was v quite frankly rude at times when asking basic questions about what certain treatments involved.
The final straw was turning up for a consultation appt that was supposedly rearranged, to find out that this was cancelled and nobody had bothered to tell me even though I had waited in for the whole day for this appointment at the hotel. This just again highlighted the poor communication from management and bookings dept. I felt sorry for the front desk staff who tried their best under poor leadership.
I had to ask repeatedly for food and drinks to be cleaned from my room.
The pool is small and cold and very windy which makes it hard to relax in the afternoon.
Waste of money and time spent researching.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I just spent 7 days at this wonderful location. A high end, spotlessly clean, modern hotel which (even in low season & times of Covid when not everything is open) was absolutely fantastic.
My stay exceeded all my expectations, and I absolutely loved the little town of Alvor ... the sweetest little fishing village, with miles of the most wonderful, clean beach & boardwalks / paths across biodiverse dunes where the Ria Alvor meets the Atlantic ocean to walk in each day.
The hotel was empty, but the spa facilities were second to none. I spent hours warming up in the Hammam! The salt water thalassotherapy pool providing respite for tired, cold bodies & restoring minerals.
The team at the hotel - every single one of them - were just extraordinary. SO welcoming, so caring, so supportive, so helpful. From sharing what local cheeses/foods to buy at the small, very sweet, market, to recommending visits to Lagos & Monchique (I did neither, but will next time!), and boxing a lunch on departure, they could not do enough to ensure your comfort. Barbara the yoga & mindfulness teacher is a skilled joy, and her guided walks so calming and informative. Pilates taught technically and correctly. The gym small but perfectly formed. Dina and her housekeeping team keeping everything sparkling.
The therapies I had were a mix of interventive and restorative. Nurses that took care of the former were excellent, therapists that took care of the latter skilled, and it was all managed beautifully by the spa reception. I can't help thinking the reviewer immediately after mine was at a different hotel!
The low calorie menus I chose for my Wellness stay were excellent. Nutritious, delicious, required zero effort on my part, just peaceful, appreciative consumption. The team in the only open restaurant juggled timings and could not do enough for you to ensure you're comfortable. My full breakfast on my final day was historic.
I really cannot recommend this location highly enough. Thank you so much to everyone at the hotel who made this week everything I desperately needed and more. I will definitely be back for more!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Superb hotel. Bed was super comfy! Excellent staff. Food was healthy and tasty. Spa area was relaxing and well equipped. Amazing views from the room and the rooftop restaurant and pool area. It does overlook residential area and so expect some noises in keeping with that. Highly recommended and perfect for chilling out.
