We stayed in a lovely suite/apartment with separate rooms: 1 WC, one living room with kitchenette, one suite (with private WC). Plus we could enjoy a terrace with some views to the mountains. It was fully equipped and ready to use. There wasn’t a lot of people since it was early May. There was a big exterior swimming pool and a partially covered one, better designed for families with kids. One restaurant only was working. Breakfast was a buffet with varied and tasty choices. The spa circuit was 25€ for guests for 2h and was worth it. The spa pool has a big glass wall watching over to the sky, it was a beautiful atmosphere even in a rainy day. One can just stay there because it has all the services. Guess it might be a good experience for families, not sure wether they have babysitting available though. The staff was always pleasant and helpful. ?This was a one time weekend experience for us. And what we felt the most is that one can easily lose touch with the environment where the resort is settled. One might just stay in the resort bubble losing the experiences that Monchique has to offer, which would be a shame, since they are so many and so rich.

S	Serena Tonelli on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely views, nice breakfast, freezing swimming pool and incredibly quiet and luxurious sleeps in the massive double bed and pristine bed linen! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and managed to relax fully waking up to the sunrise over the mountains!
E	Emmanuel Nataf on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An amazing location but the interior design feels off. There’s loud ventilation in all the rooms from 10am until 8pm and you have to turn on your TV to get wifi. The restaurant felt average. A place with enormous potential though.

On arrival, we were greeted by friendly staff who checked us in and carried our luggage to the room, where we were given some tips about the hotel, as well as the whatsapp number which was very useful for getting quick answers. The rooms are very spacious and well equipped, with the bedroom + a large bed and ensuite, a large lounge with a kitchen, a second bathroom and a small balcony. There was also a nice welcome pack. We were lucky enough to enjoy panoramic views from the large windows. We highlighted an issue with the bathroom window, as it faced onto a public area and had no blinds. The maintenance staff were quick to respond, adding a frosted film to the window the next morning. It was very windy during our stay, so the doors were banging slightly which woke us up, but I was able to wedge a piece of paper in the door to stop the noise. The hotel had a lot of activities (for adults & children), but it's probably worth booking some of these before your stay to ensure there are spaces available. We were contacted to let us know a space had become available on the walking trip, but while we couldn't make it in the end, we really appreciated the offer (another example of how attentive the staff were)! The breakfast was very good, with lots of variety and all very tasty. We were able to get a table outside both days, offering spectacular views. We will definitely be back again!
