Order the Portuguese meals - tastes like a home cooked meal, so delicious and satisfying. Service was also fantastic. Obrigada O Catraio!

We ordered the seafood cataplana and it was really really good. Can totally recommend it. The Piri Piri chicken was also yummy and the service was great.

Definitely one of those more authentic places in the touristy Albufeira. Great grilled fish and kind service. We came here twice during our stay in Algarve.

During our stay in Albufeira we ate several times at O Catraio. And what a breath of fresh air compared to other Restaurants in town. Nice, small and super cozy. Service is friendly and helpful. The food is affordable and genuinely of excellent quality. If you are in the old center, this is a must go! Tip; Do book in advance. Because they are fully booked every night! And that is truly a very good sign.

I ate my first cataplana here. It was a cataplana de marisco. Very tasty! I loved it as I liked the place too. Good music, nice terrace, affordable prices and a friendly waiter (Marco). The services were excellent here and I'm glad that me and my girlfriend picked this place to eat. We came at around 3:45 in the afternoon but they were about to close from 4 to 6. The wait worth it. If you visit Albufeira, pay them a visit. You won't be disappointed. Obrigado for your hospitality and the nice experience we had at your place. Definitely we will return whenever we'll have the chance.

Very fresh and tasty food at very affordable prices. Service was great too. Very friendly staff that seem to speak all the languages! We had a little wait on the monkfish as everything is cooked fresh so worth asking how long if you're in a hurry. Sardines were very tasty and seems most dishes come with veg/salad and potatoes. Great little spot that seems a little more authentic than a lot of other places in this area.

My wife and I came here on a recommendation and ate lunch here on Thu 4 Nov 2021 - the restaurant was closed for the holidays on our previous visit. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the food is really very good hence the 5 stars. We shared clams with garlic and olive oil for a starter, which was really good. Then for the mains my wife had the garlic prawns served with fries and salad - very nice ?. Whilst I had the grilled Dorado served with baked potato and veg - also very good ? ?. Highly recommended for a more authentic Portuguese food experience ? .

On a tiny road 1 street up from the old town square. I love to sit outside & watch the people stroll by, inside seating is lovely too. Delicious homemade food for a very reasonable price. Service is friendly an very attentive - always with a smile. I’m a fish girl & the Seabass for €10 was cooked to perfection. My fella loves meat & the Portuguese steak cooked perfectly to temperature was delicious. We had the shrimp & avocado which reminded us of a crab Louie but w shrimp- it was tasty. As was the vegetable soup fresh with chunks of vegetables. The apple pie crust was the real deal- absolutely worth the calories.
