★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best Frango Piri Piri I have ever eaten. While it is usually good in the area, here they manage to not grill the chicken until it is dry, they serve it both slightly charred and juicy. Delicious!
Unfortunately, the other options are not recommended. Another day we ordered Secretos that were served cold and mediocre and grilled Bacalhau which was ok but nothing special.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This restaurant used to be famous for Piri Piri chicken, sadly things have gone down hill. Service was helpful and friendly but the chicken was not good, probably re heated. Good deserts. If you love frango Piri Piri this isn't the place to go

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We parked outside la rampa and wanted to check whether paraiso montaña just above was open. As we came back down, what I assume to be the owner asked us to park somewhere else next time because the parking lot we were in was for la rampa. We said we would move our car and he then told us to eff off whilst we had our baby in our arms and walked back in! That kind of behaviour definitely made it easy to decide that we weren’t going to eat there this time or ever again!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The family has been going to this restaurant for 30 odd years, but apparently it has been under new management since January 2020.
Food was ok, service was ok but the view was still magnificent. The new management has a lot to live up to compared with the previous owners and I think they need more practice, maybe something that Covid era did not provide.
Might try it again next year to see if things have improved.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ While only a small restaurant, it's a little gem. It has amazing views down over the Portimao and Lagos estuaries, which you can gaze at while dining on the terrace. The food is excellent and fresh cooked and, as always in Portugal, the staff are welcoming and friendly.
