Turiscampo is the second Yelloh Village we have used. It has the same high standards as the previous one we visited on 3 separate occasions, which is in France. Turiscampo is situated on a busy road which is quite noisy and, ironically, the biggest, most expensive pitches are nearest the road. It is quite large, on a hill, with a mix of touring pitches and bungalows. In some parts of the site the bungalows seem tightly packed together. The touring pitches are mainly flat. The ground holds water when it rains as it seems to be clay. The pitches have drainage issues - there is gravel on most of them but also grass (and weeds) which was 6 - 9 inches tall on some. We were at the bottom of the site, a row back from the 'premium' pitches. It rained the day after we arrived and it took several days for the water to drain away. The facilities are excellent. The toilet and shower blocks are a very high standard and kept spotlessly clean, there are even childrens toilets and showers. There are kids play areas, a kids club, 2 pools (outdoor and indoor). A bar and a very nice restaurant on site. A well stocked shop for all essentials - and some treats. There is a gym, spa, hairdresser, all reasonably priced. The staff are very friendly, helpful and welcoming. There are bars and restaurants within walking distance. Sunitas Castle is an excellent Indian restaurant 10 minutes walk away. Praia da Luz is also within walking distance - there are shops, bars, restaurants and a lovely beach. Lagos is also close by - an Uber was €6 each way. Buses pass frequently. A lot of people on the site hired cars locally for about €7 a day. We decided to stay locally due to the pandemic but there are lots of nice places to visit. Recommended.

We stayed here in early September in one of the mobile homes on site. The site is lovely and clean, the two pools very pleasant and COVID measures in place. Enjoyed the pilates class too. The site is well situated for exploring the area but you do need a car.

Some bungalows are old and lack some maintenance. The park should add some more trees in order to provide more shadows. The bar and restaurant is good and the pools are great although a bit overcrowded sometimes. The activities and its staff are really good and entertaining. Last but not least, it is a bit overpriced for the accommodation and overall facilities at least on high season. The location is good and near Praia da Luz beach.

Came to find this site through search for sites. Not many pictures, not many reviews and the ones that were published we're almost half hearted in their content. We went to the town for lunch (brilliant) and parked our 9m motorhome in the nearby car park for free. Went to the campsite to check in. We parked in the waiting bays and took their site map and walked around to choose one of the few available pitches. We were rewarded with a decent long/wide pitch (101) with power and near the motorhome service point. Now to the facilities. Wow.....we have been motorhome users or caravanners for more than 16 years all around Europe and the UK. We have never been to a site that is so well kept, well equipped and well thought out. Dog wash, children's play areas, outdoor pool, indoor pool, ducks, dog showers, dedicated children's toilets, dog bag dispenser points throughout, water points, outdoor football courts, restaurant. Frankly the list could go on and on. We saw beautiful chalets some with hot tubs. Smaller chalet village areas with artificial grass communal areas. This is without a doubt a 5* park and deservedly so. To cap it off, all of the staff are very friendly and professional. If you are looking for a holiday destination in a lovely part of Portugal either as caravan or motorhome owners or even as chalet or camping lodge users then this is the place for you. We came here from a 1* example of 1970s camping experiences with most of the same equipment. Outdated, graffiti ridden, dirty toilets and unruly guests in their chalets that partied all night long without regard for others. This was a total change for the better. Go ahead and book your break for 2022. You will love this place I can assure you.

Amazing camping. The toilets are like in a 4 star hotel. The showers are adjustabels. Many washing machines. Six pools. And kids activity and jymping in the pool for the whole family. Great places for the caravan with lot of shadows. Very good service. The restaurant at the pool is really nice for a family. They play a little bit to loud music at lunch time though. In the evening there is a big show. A little shop where you can buy water, soap, bread and even tables. Very good for dogs and cats. They even have a dog shower. The best camping I have stayed in so far. Absolutely worth the money.

Very nice campsite, with numerous leisure activities (indoor swimming pool, pool, evening events, restaurant, bar, etc.) Everything is very well maintained and the staff is also very nice. After 5 weeks we decided to stay in a bungalow with our own jacuzzi. We would love to come back!
