★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Walking down the side streets near here we happened by an American Lady. She told us that if we were looking for a Restaurant for lunch then we should visit Avô Casimiro and especially recommended the Avô prawn. This turned out to be the best advice we received in Portimão . The host was charming, informative and very helpful when it came to recommending a very reasonably priced local white wine to go with our meal. The prawns were the best I have ever tasted. A wonderful pork dish, some horse mackerel and glorious mushrooms added to a wonderful first meal in Portimão . Cannot wait to make a return visit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tapas style but well organised. For two we had three dishes which was ample for us. Home made deserts were fantastic. Family run beautifully prepared and cooked food. Good wine list very reasonably priced. Service and ambiance made for a very pleasant lunch. Well worth searching out and we will be back!

I was so full but i kept ordering more food, couldnt stop ?family restaurant, every dish are made with love, had a chat with the owner Miguel, the passion he puts into his work is enviable and you can feel it in every plate! Wish them all the luck! If you want to open a restaurant in new york let me know ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is great, both service and food. The plates are simple but so tasty, clearly the produce is fresh and well-selected. We specially loved the garlic shrimp, the octopus salad and the clams, but everything was delicious, tasty and well balanced.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Small but nicely decorated wine and tapas bar. Very friendly family owned business. We had 4 dishes which were more than plenty to fill our hungry stomachs. Including drinks the bill was about 30eur, which we were happy to pay for.
