Rey Langels and Mikael Kummelstedt, the Golfland founders, living in Portugal for 8 years, had several reasons to do differently.
For them, being entrepreneurs is a lifestyle and the possibility to develop a fun and challenging project, a year-round spectacular attraction for golfers, holiday makers and resident families, seemed to be the best decision.
The magic in perfectly combining adventure golf, street healthy food, amazing cocktails, great staff, happy customers in a perfect relaxing set and transform all into one incredible social and fun experience, is their mission.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Golf land is a hidden dining gem almost a speak easy location within a minigolf area. We were surprised with how nice decored and great of the quality as our impression was minigolf, fast food.
We were blown away by the filet steak and the duck pâté. Delicious dishes with a great wine list. Service was fantastic, they let you dine with your pup but outdoors.

I have to admit, I had already formed an opinion of a restaurant named Golfland based on the business it does with mini-golf and golf simulators. Was I ever wrong. The menu is limited in size, but had something for everyone. Beginning with the gravlax salmon starter of an ever so subtly smokey salmon sliced thicker than usual and served at the perfect temperature for the flesh to be pliable and the fats in it to loosen with no saltiness that typifies most such dishes. Next, I had the linguine with razor clams in a blistered cherry tomato sauce. I was initially disappointed not to have some shaved parmesan on top of the dish or freshly grated offered. No need. This dish stands on its own without the need to mask the flavours with aged dairy. Delicious. My companion had the prawn risotto. Again, seasoning and flavours were absolutely spot on. The rice was perfectly cooked and glistening as a good risotto should and the individual grains were cooked yet had the perfect amount of al dente bite. Another hole in one (pardon the golf reference). Unfortunately, my companion was feeling a bit under the weather so we skipped dessert. We'll need to stop back for a glass of wine and their made in house chocolate mousse. I cannot recommend this restaurant more.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Alvor has over a hundred restaurants but if you don't want to face trying to find parking Golfland is easy parking and a good choice being just outside the town centre . We have tried going during the day with the grandchildren but this time tried in the evening. The restaurant is cosy, comfortable and a good atmosphere. Service was fast and friendly and the meal was good and reasonably priced. Will certainly go back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good fun mini golf. Kid friendly but not to easy courses. All set in an adventure like setting with some animatronic and vegetation. Pro mini golfers will prob find it to easy. Food is good! Way over expectations. Good service.
