About Scoop n Dough

We are two brothers who share the vision of creating the best handmade ice cream and donuts of vegetable origin, using high quality ingredients. The experience we want to provide in our space is the feeling of being served by the family. At Scoop 'n Dough, sympathy and affection prevail and that is why we prefer to have more than just customers - we have a community.

DARCHITE

A King's College London graduate and sports nutritionist by profession, Darchite went through clubs like SL Benfica and Estoril FC, until his passion for ice cream spoke louder. After becoming vegan in 2015, he missed eating ice creams that were creamy and had texture. From here, he spent 3 years studying ice cream and preparing the recipes that delight people these days.

JIMITE

Medical doctor by profession, studied at the Faculty of Medicine of Lisbon. He's been passionate about cooking from an early age. Following the example of his brother, he became vegan and, as soon as the idea to create Scoop 'n Dough came up, he took responsibility for the conception of the doughnuts. It's through him that new flavours of doughnuts come up

I	Ivana Chen on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Scoop n Dough is doing something magical. Their gelato was out of this world delicious — I couldn’t even tell it was vegan! They allow you to sample flavors, which only makes you want to get three scoops when you came in thinking one was enough. Their raspberry cheesecake, pistachio, and coconut lemon with blueberry jam were legendary. I’m dreaming of their ice cream already and wish they could bring it my country! My only regret is not trying the donuts as well.

R	Regine Adrien on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Me and my gf walked in excited to see that they had vegan options and asked which one of their doughnuts is vegan and the young lady behind the counter replied that they all are.. my jaw dropped and from that point on, I was in heaven. The tasting spoons are metal so you can taste as you please without polluting our oceans, the ice cream flavors are adventurous so you can step outside your comfort zone (I had black sesame with raspberry on a doughnut waffle) and the girls behind the counter are knowledgeable and friendly -- probably pastry chefs or something (1 of them curated the raspberry with the black sesame I wanted). Oh and even the cutlery they provide is compostable. The flavors were amazing but I think it was the thoughtfulness that actually blew me away. I would recommend to any/everybody -- vegan or not.

But if you love donuts and want different types of flavors, this will be your spot. ++warning ++ for the Sugar Schock. I like the location of this place and the stuff is also very kind and sweet. I think I would come here again, probably not for the donuts (well bc its not really my dessert) but for the ice cream.

Very experimental and flavorful, while managing to be only mildly sweet. Yes, it’s a bit pricey, but have you seen the size and toppings and fillings? Also, the young man at the counter speaks perfect English and is the friendliest. He patiently and passionately explained the different flavors of doughnuts and did not force anything upon us.

I'm in the task of trying every doughnut and ice cream flavor but it's very hard to achieve since there are plenty of options. All of them equally amazing. My current favorite is the Raspberry one followed by Lemon Poppyseed (which is a surprise since is one of the most simple). The Valentine's day specials were great too! If you're a vegan in Lisbon IT'S DEFINITELY A MUST TRY.

Also the girls working in the place are super friendly and talkative and will give you a map to all the best vegan places in town. Coffee unfortunately not fairtrade and not very good.
