★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I thought these guys were very good. The full insurance cover purchased directly with them (always a good idea to buy it direct when renting a car) was quite reasonable. The staff were pleasant always. They did their best to find a solution for me when I didn't have the card I booked with at the collection point. Can't really fault them. They are connected with europcar. Make sure that you bring the credit card that you booked with.

I have never had a bad experience with car hires / rental cars anywhere in the world: South Africa, India, USA, Spain, etc. We rented a car here in Faro from Guerin (Alamo, Enterprise, National). They quickly inspected the car along with me. We noticed bumps and bruises but they said they were small enough and not to worry. We drove to our hotel for the day and back. Upon coming back, the employee opened the passenger door and noticed a light scratch on the inside edge of the door. I obviously disputed and he claimed it was new. No way I would’ve thought to review interior edges of doors on the initial inspection. Clearly a money grab. I will dispute the charges and keep everyone updated, but what a headache and dirty practice. I saw on other reviews that Guerin (Enterprise, Alamo, and National) do not return deposits or add more charges later as well. Please be careful and avoid this if possible. I saw reviews on several other local rent-a-cars that will avoid you the distress on your vacation and calls to insurance companies after to help dispute. What a mess - been 2 weeks and they haven’t responded to any calls or emails yet have charged me the $250 on my credit card for the original scuff on the inside edge of the passenger car door. Please be careful and use a different rental service

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Used Guerin as an Affiliate to National/Enterprise rent a car. if you are booking from another country please read the T&C regarding the Super Damage Collision waiver and the TOLL Charge meter. Otherwise quick and easy and they provided a cracking A-Class mercedes.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We booked a compact class car here through rental cars for 11 days. We got a very nice white Hyundai i20. 1 big suitcase and 2 hand luggage suitcase fit in the back. The service on pick up was smooth and quick. No pressure for extra insurance or so. We enjoyed the car and when we returned it the returning proces was polite, swift and correct. Very pleasant to hire a car here and they are helpful, correct and clear. Recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ terrible experience, just looking for more money. showed up on time, stood for 30 minutes in line, then one hour as the agent put in my info. not her fault, as computer froze and had to start again. but again all the upsell and disclaimers. unfortunately we're used to this. coming back, as advised of damages to the car. yes, there were two small scratches to the back bumper. if i had known that they were going to charge us 187 euros, i would have rubbed it with a was compound, as u will see from my picture, it doesn't even show up. but again they are looking for more money. complained to customer service, and again just rebuffed, didn't even bother reading my email.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First of all, you need an additional deposit of EUR 1100 on your card to get the car. If you don't have that you need to pay additional EUR 100 for an insurance policy. None of that was made clear when we made the booking. Staff were not very polite (rude). All in all typical Enterprise kind of service. Bad

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent service, very professional and friendly staff. Process of collecting and returning of vehicle was quick and easy.
Car was clean and almost new, only 6k km on the clock. We had additional car seats for our girls, they were installed by a professional company. Definitely will rent again from them.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Don’t book with ALAMO or Enterprise or GUERIN or whatever you call this joking company in faro airport !
Be aware that you can pay a reservation online with a card but the same card is not accepted once you re in the agency to catch the car, because it’s not a credit card… you cant’t even give a credit card of a non driver person, AND impossibility to call the company , even the employees don’t have the number of their company.
However the way they called the policia were much easily.
Fortunately those were kind to us and on our side to find a solution and helped us.
Finally we were Obliged to cancel the reservation and pay 100 euros fees online !!
